Race walking – What every athlete and athletics fan needs to know…

One of the best things about athletics is the wide variety of ways in which people can push themselves to their limits. Some of these are pretty obvious – such as the 100m where the goal is: “run fast”. Race walking is probably the least straightforward discipline in athletics, being widely misunderstood, commonly dismissed and sometimes altogether unknown. However, it has a charm and a challenge that will resonate with any athletics fan.


Off Track & Running to Success

On Track Athletics ran the first ever ‘Off Track & Running’ cross country coaching course for young people aged 8 upwards. 25 Young People from across East Kent took part in two morning sessions that included pacing activities, team training, high sprinting and a mini cross country race around the stunning grounds of Godinton House Estate.

The sessions where supported by Ashford Athletic Club and the Kent Athletics Network.

Off Track & Running – Cross Country Coaching Sessions
