I would love to think that I might have encouraged some of you to give it a go but I know I won’t have convinced everyone. However, you can still learn a lot from race walking that will help to improve your running.


Ashford Leisure Trust – October Half Term Cross Country Coaching

Ashford Leisure Trust is running a cross country coaching morning on Wednesday 26th October 2011 from 9.30am to 12.30pm in lovely grounds of Godinton House & Gardens. The morning session will involve expert coaching in endurance running and will include activities to develop race tactics, pacing and sustained running over a cross country course. The course will involve running on grass and you could get muddy so please bring a spare pair of clothes.

Cross Country Running Course – February Half Term

On Track Athletics is staging another ‘Off Track & Running’ cross country coaching session for young people during the February half term holiday.

Our ‘Off Track & Running’ coaching session will involve coaching in race tactics, pacing and basic endurance training. The session will also include a warm up session, cross country race session and cool down.

On Track Athletics is pleased to announce the date of the next Canterbury Aviva Star:track athletics coaching course. The course will be run on Friday 25th February at Body & Mind Leisure @ The Canterbury High School, Canterbury.

The course will involve athletics coaching and activities for 8 to 16 year olds. All abilities welcome including beginners and club athletes. Activities will be based on Sportshall athletics and fitness.
