SEAA Day 1 Results – Hanagan Wins Bronze

Rachel Hanagan 200m On Track Athletics coached athletes competed at the South of England Indoor Athletics Championships at Lee Valley Athletics Centre on Saturday 16th January.

Rachel Hanagan competing off the shortest run in the competition jumped a distance of 10.57m to win the Bronze medal and get her 2010 season off to a good start. In the U15 Girls 200m Abbie Purkis run a strong race in her heat to finish 3rd with 28.69s just missing out on a place in the Semi-Final. In the U17 womens 200m Caitlin Dock also ran a strong race to finish 5th in her heat with a time of 29.04s.

In the U17 Mens 200m Stevie Walder ran an indoor personal best of 25.52s to finish 4th in his heat missing out on the semi-final. Laura Hanagan competing in the U17 Womens Triple Jumped finished 5th with a jump of 9.72m and like her sister she was jumping off a very short run up.

On Track Athletes Take Gold in Kent Sportshall

shotThree On Track Athletics coached athletes competed for Ashford Athletic Club on Sunday 1st November at the first Kent County Athletic Association Sportshall Athletics event held at Folkestone Sports Centre. The athletes won 2 Gold medals between them a successful day of Sportshall Athletics.

Hanagan & Dock start sportshall season with bang

Laura Hanagan and Caitlin Dock starting the 2008/09 Sportshall Athletics season with a first and third place in the U15 Girls competition and helped the Ashford Athletic Club team to victory.

Laura showed how she has progress since last season winning the overall U15 Girls event with victories in the Standing Long Jump, Speed Bounce and 2 Lap events achieving personal bests in 2 out of the 5 events.

Caitlin finished third in only her first year in the age group and was joint winner in the 2 lap with Laura and finished 2nd in the Standing Long Jump and 3rd in the Speed Bounce.
